Rooh E Hina Dua

Managing Partner

Ms. Rooh-e-Hina Dua is the Managing Partner at Axon Partners, Advocate & Solicitors, and an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India. With over 12 years of dedicated service in the legal profession, Ms. Dua has established herself as a distinguished legal professional. Her academic journey began with a B.B.A., LL.B. from National Law College, Gurgaon. She further enhanced her legal expertise by completing a Diploma in Commercial Law from the London School of Economics in 2010.

Ms. Dua’s professional career commenced in July 2011 as an Associate at DMD Advocates. She then gained invaluable experience working in the chambers of Mr. Akhil Sibal, Senior Advocate, and Mr. Abhimanyu Bhandari, Advocate. Since March 2020, she has been practicing as an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India. She holds a prestigious position as the Standing Counsel/Advocate on Record for the Government of Punjab, where she has consistently secured favorable orders, demonstrating her commitment to legal excellence.

Her legal practice covers a broad spectrum, with a particular focus on drafting and filing Special Leave Petitions, Civil Appeals, and writ petitions challenging constitutional validity. Ms. Dua is proficient in corporate law, adept at drafting and vetting corporate agreements, including development and shareholders agreements. She regularly advises and represents notable various prominent builders and companies in consumer litigation.

Ms. Dua has extensive experience in both domestic and international arbitrations under LCIA and SIAC rules, representing clients from various sectors. Her expertise extends to regulatory disputes, where she skillfully represents clients in disputes with regulatory authorities and makes representations to civic and development authorities. She is also proficient in proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), particularly under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

Throughout her career, Ms. Dua has appeared in more than 50 reported judgments, representing clients before the Supreme Court and other courts. She has been actively involved in high-stakes tax disputes, including the landmark Vodafone Tax case, and regularly briefs eminent senior counsels on diverse legal matters. Her strategic legal counsel on complex issues, including taxation, policy matters, and tender-related concerns, is highly valued by her clients.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Dua has co-authored an article titled “Why India’s Model BIT is a bit of a misnomer,” published on Legally India. She served as the Student Editor for the National Law College Student Law Review (2010-11) and has published several articles on The Viewspaper. Her accolades include achievements in various national and international moot court competitions.

SAHIL SUD

Of Counsel Corporate Governance and Advisory

Mr. Sahil Sud is the Corporate Partner at AXON and has over 15 years of experience. His academic journey began with an LL.B. from the Army Institute of Law, Punjab. Before starting his individual practice, Mr. Sud was associated with various top boutique law firms in India. Over the last few years, he has been involved in advising and assisting clients from a wide range of industry sectors, including MNCs, large Indian companies, LLPs, and a variety of start-ups.

Mr. Sud has a wide range of experience in advising clients in negotiating domestic and international outsourcing agreements; joint ventures, software development and distribution; regulatory issues related to foreign investment; royalty payments and repatriations; investment, acquisitions and divestments. Mr. Sud has also advised various start-up and emerging growth businesses, advising on matters ranging from formation to exit including corporate structuring, employment and equity compensation along with advising clients on compliances under various corporate governance.

Mr. Sud has an extensive experience in the field of real estate, including conducting due-diligence of companies/trusts/societies and certain land/properties; preparation of due diligence reports; negotiation, drafting and formulation of various legal instruments in this regard such as service agreements; trust deeds; memorandum of understanding, lease agreement, leave and licensing agreement, maintenance agreements, agreement to sale, sale deeds, etc.

Over the last few years, Mr. Sud has also actively advised and assisted clients on issues related to employment including drafting of employment contracts, human resource and personnel policy, hiring and termination of employees, labour laws compliance, labour audits, maternity benefits, etc.

Randeep Sachedava

Randeep Sachdeva is a Delhi based Advocate who has been enrolled with the bar since 2018 and has assisted many noteworthy advocates in various matters during his time at the bar. Randeep started his practice under the aegis of Mr. Amit Mahajan (Now Justice Amit Mahajan before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi) and represented the Union of India as well as the Directorate of Enforcement. He then joined the office of the Additional Solicitor General of India and has worked on matters arising out of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, and the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropics Act, before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

Randeep specialises in matters of White Collar Crimes including but not limited to Prevention of Money Laundering Act, Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Commercial disputes and Civil matters.

Apart from his wide areas of practice, Randeep represents the Union of India as well as its machinery before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
